Fat-shaming always exists and maybe it is worse for Hollywood stars. Yesterday, star of Prison Break, Wentworth Miller, shared “his thoughts, his experience, his heart and his pain” about the Internet fat-shaming Meme at his Facebook. There he talks about his depression and even suicidal past.
All these things start from a meme of Wentworth Miller, which has gone viral on the Internet. The meme compares two photos of Miller with caption “When you break out of prison and find out about McDonald’s monopoly.” Miller explained in his Facebook post that this photo in red T-shirt was taken when “One day, out for a hike in Los Angeles with a friend, we crossed paths with a film crew shooting a reality show. Unbeknownst to me, paparazzi were circling.”
After Miller posted his response for the fat-shaming meme, he gains lots of love and support from his fans and other celebrities like Scott Stabile.
At the end of this post, Miller offers a few resources to help those who are struggling in daily life. Actually we are really thankful for celebrities who is brave enough to share about mental health struggles. Truth is, anyone can suffer from depression. Hopefully this will get some people to think twice before being jerks and it will inspire more people to be brave when suffering unreasonable fat-shaming attacks.
