Big Beautiful Women, Plus Size Celebrity Rebel Wilson’s Love Life
Australian comedian and actress Rebel Wilson first made international headlines as the hilarious Brynn in the 2011 romantic comedy Bridesmaids. She again made headlines the following year when she starred in the musical comedy Pitch Perfect as Fat Amy. From there, she has continued to find major movie roles, some of them Pitch Perfect sequels, and shows no signs of slowing down as she becomes one of the major plus size celebrities of today’s day. With a crazy schedule like the one she has, it is no doubt that dating is a challenge- not that she has let it stop her from trying.
In May of 2015, it was confirmed that Wilson, one of the big beautiful women always making headlines, was dating fellow actor Mickey Gooch Jr. The news came not long after Wilson admitted to being 35, not 29 as previously believed. Gooch’s relationship with Wilson was confirmed on May 16, 2015, when the couple was seen in New York’s Madison Square Garden to cheer on the Rangers in the Eastern Conference Stanley Cup Final. Sources close to the couple admitted that like many actresses and other plus size celebrities, Wilson struggled to find time to date, so she and Gooch texted constantly.
Sadly, just a few months later, in September of 2015, it was found that the couple was no longer dating. While the reasons for the split were unclear, sources close to them confirmed it to be real, though they were still friends. News of the split came as Wilson was working on Pitch Perfect 2, which was months from being released.
While the split is sad, it certainly did not slow down Wilson’s momentum very much. She may not be dating currently, but she is one of many big beautiful women that are single and just having fun. She proved this in February when she appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show where she played a few difficult rounds of celebrity “Would You Rather?” with DeGeneres. During the game, Wilson had fun picking between Justin Bieber and Harry Styles before ending with her winning man, Canadian-born rapper Drake. Of course, it was no easy choice, when she was forced to choose between the likes of Bradley Cooper, Zac Efron. Idris Elba, Leonardo Dicaprio, and Liam Hemsworth, but she managed. She went as far as to admit she wanted Drake to play her love interest in the next Pitch Perfect film.
