Findings in WooPlus survey support statements made in recent viral TikTok post
SAN FRANCISCO, Calif., Nov. 15, 2021 – TikTok user Niktoks recently went viral after expressing her surprise that most men she’s encountered on the plus-size dating app, WooPlus, are “ripped gym bros.”
Other users quickly added their own experiences, confirming that fit men are often attracted to curvy women. This is nothing new for WooPlus, an inclusive plus-size dating app founded in 2015 that connects plus-sized people to a community where they can enjoy dating and find love.
A recent survey of 2,385 female WooPlus users found that 82% of them have matched with a “gym guy” and had very nice conversations.
The survey findings and user feedback may be surprising to some people due to stereotypes about body size. One TikTok user commented, ”Sometimes I don’t even swipe on guys if they are gym rats bc I feel like they’re too fit and are going to think I’m too fat for them so I don’t bother.”
